DALF
DALF C1 and C2 exams and diplomas
DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) are officials diplomas issued by the French Ministry of Education. They permit the certification and validation of French language abilities. Therefore these diplomas allow you to highlight your skills in French for personal, scholars, university or work purposes.
Please note that the DALF are oriented toward an adult audience. For children, there is the DELF Prim and for teenagers, the DELF junior version and the DELF for schools. There is also a DELF especially targeting the working system, the DELF Pro which is more oriented for a professional purpose.
Within the DALF, there is 2 different levels : C1 and C2. Levels C1 and C2 are the most advanced DELF-DALF diplomas. Thus the DALF is divided into 2 independents diplomas each linked to 2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
People who have passed the DALF (C1 or C2) are exempt from taking language tests for entrance into French universities.
